Hands-On Execution (As Needed)

  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation when required.
  • Step in to complete critical accounting, close, and reporting tasks during high-volume periods, transitions, or staff absences.
  • Maintain detailed, working knowledge of all systems and workflows to ensure operational continuity.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor accounting staff, set clear performance expectations, and support professional development.
  • Review staff work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.

Payroll & HR (As Applicable)

  • Oversee and, when necessary, process payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support employee onboarding and finance-related HR processes (as applicable).

Cross-Functional & Strategic Support

  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Support audits, tax compliance, and external reporting requirements.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and operations, including leadership responsibility.
Strong expertise in accrual accounting, multi-entity consolidations, and revenue reconciliation.

  • Proven experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO) in a multi-entity environment.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution as business needs require.
  • Experience with payroll systems and payment platforms (e.g., Stripe) preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
